Single Card Wedding Invitations |

Single card invitations make the invitation wording itself the focal point of the design. There is of course no opening and no insert so it makes the choice of print (letterpress, foil or thermography), quality of print, colour of print, and typeface all the more important. A simple ribbon, plate sunk border or gilt edge is often all that is needed to show off this style of invitation.
Because the single card loses the rigidity of its folded (or fly pressed alternative) it follows that they are usually produced from heavy weight thicker board. Not all our cards in this section details the gsm weight of the card which is the usual measure of a cards thickness but free samples are available for each invitation. It is worth noting that different card stocks can appear thicker despite having the same gsm. This is especially true of many impression boards that are often used for letterpress printing because the card fibres are less dense.
